The basics

Do I need to know how to code?: No. You click the information you want on a web page, like highlighting it. DataBuddy does the rest. (Developers can still type or paste the setup by hand if they like.)
What do I get?: A list, like a spreadsheet, that stays up to date. You can search it in DataBuddy, download it for Excel or Google Sheets, or connect it to your own tools.
How long does it take to set up?: Usually about five minutes for one website. For tricky websites, or if you have no time, we can set it up for you.

Which websites work?: Most public websites, like web shops, job boards and directories, and also product feeds and data files. Modern websites that load their content while you scroll are coming soon.
Will I get the same product twice?: No. DataBuddy recognises what it has seen before and updates it instead of adding it again. You also see when each item was first seen and when it last changed.
How often is my list updated?: Today you update it with one click. Automatic updates (daily on Pro, hourly on Business) are coming soon.
What if a website changes its layout?: You will see it in your next update, and you fix it with a few clicks. With Managed, we fix it for you.
Is collecting data from websites allowed?: Reading public web pages is generally fine. You are responsible for respecting each website’s terms, copyright and privacy rules, especially for personal data. DataBuddy openly says who it is when it visits a website.

Where is my data stored?: On our servers in the EU (Paris).
Who can see my data?: Only you and the people or tools you give a key. You can take a key back at any time.
Can my AI assistant or agent use my data?: Yes. Give it a read-only key and it can look up your items through the API whenever it needs them. A ready-made connector for AI tools (MCP) is coming soon.
Can you set it up for me?: Yes. We set up a website for €299, do custom work for €95 an hour, or run everything for you with Managed from €499 a month.
